Media Advisory: Wake Forest University Theatre season continues with ‘VOX’

The Wake Forest University Theatre continues its season with “VOX,” a devised work written and performed by the ensemble under the direction of internationally acclaimed performer Tim Miller.

“VOX” is based on the stories, experiences and memories of the students participating in the production. Actors have worked with the director to develop the work in its entirety.

Tim Miller’s creative work as a performer and writer explores the artistic, spiritual and political topography of his identity as a gay man and has been hailed for its humor and passion. He has received numerous grants from the National Endowment for the Arts. Since 1999, Miller has focused his creative and political work on marriage equality and addressing the injustices facing lesbian and gay couples in America.

Performances are Feb. 1-2 and 6-9 at 7:30 p.m. and Feb 10 at 2 p.m. in the Ring Theatre of the Scales Fine Arts Center. Tickets are $12 for adults, $10 for senior citizens, and $5 for students.
