Who: Wake Forest University’s Computer Science department faculty/undergraduates and local public school students
What: A hands-on computer science experience, called Connecting2CS, for 50 students in grades 5 -11, which is part of Wake Forest senior Riana Freedman’s honors thesis.
When: Saturday, Feb. 21, 8:30 a.m. to Noon.
Where: Wake Forest Campus – Manchester Hall.
Why: To introduce students to computer science through a series of different age-appropriate and fun hands-on activities. On Feb. 21, students will use MaKey MaKeys, invention kits that turn every day objects into touchpads. Learn more here:
