Media Advisory: Wake Forest Theatre to perform “As You Like It”

The Bard returns to the Wake Forest stage with theatre professor Sharon Andrews’ take on “As You Like It,” a classic comedy populated by exiled dukes, court jesters, country shepherds and the god of marriage. First printed in 1623, the play includes one of Shakespeare’s most famous speeches, beginning “All the world’s a stage…”

Performances are Nov. 2-3 and 7-10 at 7:30 p.m. and Nov. 11 at 2 p.m. in the Mainstage Theatre of the Scales Fine Arts Center.  Tickets are $12 adults, $10 senior citizens, and $5 students. The design team consists of faculty members Sharon Andrews and Jonathan Christman, associate professors of theatre; Rob Eastman-Mullins, assistant professor of theatre; and Mary Wayne-Thomas, professor of theatre. Student members include: Anita Ostrovsky, Danielle Thorsen, Mara McCaffray, Bella Curry, Andrea Anderson, Allison Perrell and Rebecca Kostonis.

The all-student cast includes: Alyssa Gera, Celia Quillian, Nick Reichert, Andrew Newton, Taylor Hagley, Mike Dempsey, Langdon Page, Solomon Jordan, Orion Goodman, Brian Spadafora, Chris Gonzalez La Corte, Matt Dowell, Dan Hawkins, Beth Dodson, Hayley Greenstreet, Chris Aragon, Serena Dayas, Eric Bray, Ryan Howard, Mike Griggs and Lee Larson.
