Middle school students to learn about nursing

Sponsored by the Western Triad Science and Mathematics Alliance (housed at Wake Forest University), the event will be held from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. at Winston-Salem State University’s Anderson Conference Center.

Winston-Salem State nursing students will demonstrate the Heimlich maneuver, checking vital signs, and other nursing skills.

Students in the “GET, SET, GO” (Girls and Educators Teaming in Science Education) program will participate in hands-on activities after the short presentation.
