Response to reports of offensive language

Wake Forest University condemns and will not tolerate offensive behavior or language. Our non-discrimination statement makes that clear.

In adherence with applicable laws and as provided by University policies, the University prohibits discrimination in its employment practices and its educational programs and activities on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, age, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, genetic information, disability and veteran status.”

In addition, our ReportBias System enables our campus community to report incidents of bias, hate or incivility so that we can appropriately respond and support those involved. University Police are responding to a bias report about a racial slur and have identified two suspects in a single incident. They are working with the person who reported the offensive behavior.
