Professor Contributes to Surgeon General’s Report

Jack Rejeski, a health and exercise science professor at Wake Forest University, was among the experts who contributed to the newly-released surgeon general’s report on physical fitness and health.

As reported in the news media today, the report stresses that activities such as walking and gardening help prevent disease and improve a person’s mental health.

In his work for the report, Rejeski focused on the link between exercise and quality of life. According to Rejeski, exercise affects a broad spectrum of issues from self esteem to personal satisfaction with life.
