Wake Forest to Present Midnight Halloween Concert
Music often heard at haunted houses, including Bach’s “Toccata and Fugue in d minor,” will highlight a midnight Halloween concert by the Wake Forest University Orchestra on Friday, Oct. 31, in Brendle Recital Hall.
The orchestra, dressed in costume, will present “ghostly” music, including “The Planets” by Gustav Holst and Edward Grieg’s “In the Hall of the Mountain King.”
Although admission to the concert is free, tickets are required. Tickets may be picked up in advance in the music department office (Scales Fine Arts Center, Room M309).
Conductor David Hagy promises “a concert full of surprises.” The audience is invited to come in costume.
