WFU Anthropology Museum to Discount Holiday Gifts

Wake Forest University’s Museum of Anthropology will hold its annual holiday sale at its shop Dec. 1-24.

Handcrafted jewelry, toys, masks, dolls and other unusual holiday gifts from places such as Indonesia, China, India, Africa and the American Southwest will be sold at a 10 percent discount.

The museum offers stocking stuffers and tree ornaments from world cultures. Items include Chinese sister dolls, Oaxacan wood carvings, Ashanti gold dust boxes, embroidered wallets and Southwestern jewelry.

The discount will be offered on purchases totaling $5 or more. Gift certificates are available. Gifts range in price from $1 to $100. Spend more than $15 and the museum will give you a free Museum of Anthropology mug.

The museum is located adjacent to the tennis courts behind Wake Forest’s Kentner Stadium. During the sale, the museum has extended its shop hours. Hours are Monday-Wednesday, 10 a.m.-4:30 p.m; Thursday, 10 a.m.-8 p.m.; and Friday-Saturday, 10 a.m.-4:30 p.m. For more information, call 910-758-5282.
