The Second City comedy troupe, the training ground for Bill Murray, James Belushi, Mike Myers, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, George Wendt and many other comedy stars, will perform at Wake Forest University on Thursday, March 19, at 9 p.m. in Brendle Recital Hall.
The Second City National Touring Company, based in Chicago, will present “The Best of Second City,” a compilation of comedy sketches, songs, and improvised scenes.
Using few props and costumes, the six actors/comedians will present comedy routines lampooning modern day life. The cast will draw on more than 35 years of sketch comedy routines for the show.
Admission is $7.50. Tickets are available from the Wake Forest University Student Union at 336-758-4869. Hours are Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
