WFU Choral Union to Give Concert

Wake Forest University’s Choral Union will present a free concert at 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 31, in Brendle Recital Hall.

The 49-voice mixed ensemble, directed by Brian Gorelick, will sing choral classics, masterpieces from choral history and contemporary choral music. The program will include music by Kenneth Jennings, Jacobus Gallus, Franz Joseph Haydn, Ernani Aguiar, Dennis Kam, Randall Thompson and Marvin Curtis.

Pianist Joanne Inkman will accompany the group.

Gorelick is director of Choral Ensembles at Wake Forest. He also conducts the Collegium Musicum Vocal Ensemble and the Concert Choir and teaches choral literature and conducting.
