Soprano to Present Recital at WFU

The 3 p.m. concert in Brendle Recital Hall will include African-American spirituals and selections from Samuel Barber’s “Hermit Songs.” Also on the program will be selections from “Cinco Canciones Negras” by Spanish composer Xavier Montsalvatge.

Starnes will be accompanied by pianist Thomas C. Turnbull. A graduate of Wake Forest, she is a student of associate professor of music Teresa Radomski.
