Guest Pianist and WFU Vocalists to Perform
Guest pianist Martin Issep will perform the music of Schumann, Brahms and De Falla at Wake Forest University on Thursday, Nov. 12, at 8 p.m. in Brendle Recital Hall.
In addition, Issep will conduct a master class for Wake Forest vocal students and pianists on Tuesday, Nov. 10, in Brendle Recital Hall from 10 a.m. to noon. The class and concert are free and open to the public.
A native of Vienna and long-time resident of London, Issep is well-known as an accompanist and vocal coach. He has given piano recitals around the world with many of the world’s leading singers. He has also served as head vocal coach at several major opera houses, including Paris Opera.
The Nov. 12 concert will also feature Wake Forest faculty vocalists Teresa Radomski, Richard Heard, Kate Lambert-Patrick and John Williams. Wake Forest pianist Peter Kairoff will perform, too. A reception will follow.
