Poet Pattiann Rogers Will Read From Work
Poet Pattiann Rogers will give a reading of her work at Wake Forest University at 8 p.m. on March 25 in the Scales Fine Arts Center, Room 102.
The event is free and open to the public.
Roger’s work falls into a category known as environmental literature, which examines the relationships between human culture and the natural world. She has published six books of poetry. Her book, “Firekeeper,” was selected by Publishers Weekly as one of the best books of 1994 and was one of the five finalists for the Lenore Marshall Award given by the Academy of American Poets for an outstanding book of poetry.
Roger’s poetry reading is sponsored by Wake Forest’s Year of Globalization and Diversity, the environmental studies program and the English department. For more information about the year, call 336-758-5788.
