Wake Forest poet-in-residence to give reading
Jane Mead, poet-in-residence at Wake Forest University, will give a reading of her poetry at 8 p.m. Nov. 16 in the Scales Fine Arts Center’s Ring Theater.
Mead is the author of “The Lord and the General Din of the World,” a collection of poetry published in 1996. Her poems are often printed in publications such as The American Poetry Review, The New York Times and the Washington Post. She has won the Whiting Writer’s Award. Mead’s poems have also been included in “The Best American Poetry of 1990,” “Poet’s Choice,” “Voices on the Landscape” and other anthologies.
She has taught at Wake Forest since 1996.
