Wake Forest sets up special Y2K phone lines

Wake Forest University has established two telephone lines for keeping students, faculty and staff informed if problems occur on campus due to the Year 2000 (Y2K) computer problem.

The local number to call is 758-2000. Those living outside the Winston-Salem area can call 877-273-9077 toll-free.

The Y2K Campus Status Lines were established as part of the university’s comprehensive approach to addressing the Y2K computer problem. Starting Jan. 1, the lines will carry messages informing callers if, for instance, there have been sudden changes made to staff work schedules or class schedules.
