Dance students perform choreographic concert April 26-28

The Wake Forest University Dance Program will present the annual Spring Student Choreographic Concert April 26-28 at 8 p.m. in the MainStage Theater inside Scales Fine Arts Center.

Tickets will cost $10 for adults, and $5 for students and senior citizens.

The concert will feature a classical ballet by Brantly Shapiro, an adjunct dance professor at Wake Forest. Robert Simpson, also an adjunct dance professor, will debut an original work created to salute Hollywood using the fox-trot.

The concert will also showcase work by student choreographers including seniors Holly McCartney, Angela Hughes, Lakicia Fuller, Tyrese Howard, Erin Maxon, Catherine Lewan, Evelyn Carbrey and Nicholas Kinder. Works by sophomores Tiffany Cummins and Colby Waller will include contemporary ballet, modern dance and jazz dance.
