Wake Forest Writers Reading Series features reading by poet Ted Genoways Nov. 15

Poet and translator Ted Genoways will read from his work on Nov. 15 as part of the Wake Forest University Writers Reading Series at 6 p.m. in Tribble Hall, Room A108. The event will be followed by a booksigning and reception. It is free and open to the public.

Genoways is from Minneapolis and is the editor for the Minnesota Historical Society Press. “Bullroarer,” a book-length sequence of his poems, recently won the Morse Poetry Prize. It will be released this month by Northeastern University Press. The poems are narratives about the struggles of several generations of the Genoways family.

Northeastern University Press this month will also release “The Selected Poems of Miguel Hernandez,” which Genoways edited.

The University of Wisconsin’s Parallel Press recently released a new book of Genoways’ poems, “Anna, Washing.”
