Anthropology museum holds holiday shop sale
Wake Forest University’s Museum of Anthropology will hold its annual holiday shop sale today, Nov. 27, through Dec. 22.
The museum shop carries a selection of handcrafted items from around the world, including Native American jewelry, Chinese dolls and folk crafts, African animal banks, miniature Mata Ortiz pots from Mexico, and assorted carvings, boxes and toys. Gift certificates are available.
This year’s sale features a wide range of modestly priced tree ornaments, as well as stocking stuffers such as hand-held thumb pianos, hand-blown glass animals from India and worry dolls from Guatemala. Jewelry from Africa and Asia is also available.
The museum is located on the Wake Forest campus behind Kentner Stadium.
Wake Forest students, faculty and staff will receive a 10 percent discount on purchases of more than $5. For more information, call the museum at 336-758-5282 or visit the museum’s Web site at www.wfu.edu/MOA.
