Senior recital to be held at Wake Forest

Lauren Toney will perform a senior piano recital at 3 p.m. April 13 in Wake Forest University’s Brendle Recital Hall. She has also served Wake Forest as a university carillonneur.

The program will open with a piece by Johann Sebastian Bach, followed by a selection from Ludwig van Beethoven. In addition, the recital will feature music from composer Hugo Anson and Sergei Rachmaninoff. The program will end with Chopin’s “Ballade in F.”

Toney is a student of Katharine Boyes, adjunct professor of music at Wake Forest. Cellist David Beam will provide accompaniment.
