Leading immigration attorney to speak at WFU April 18
Greensboro immigration attorney Manlin Chee will speak about legal careers at Wake Forest University on April 18. The event, sponsored by the Office of Multicultural Affairs, will be held at 7 p.m in Benson University Center’s Pugh Auditorium. It is free and open to the public.
In 1978, Chee became one of the first Asian-American women to graduate from the Wake Forest School of Law. She now has a private practice in Greensboro.
Chee received the American Bar Association’s Pro Bono Publico Award in 1991, and continues to be recognized for her work with immigrants. Triad Business News called her “one of the foremost immigration attorneys in North Carolina, if not the country.”
