Novelist and poet to read from work at WFU
Isabel Zuber, a Winston-Salem novelist and poet, will give a reading from her work Oct. 24 at 5 p.m. in Tribble Hall’s DeTamble Auditorium at Wake Forest University.
Zuber’s first novel, “Salt,” was published in March by Picador USA. The book tells of the struggles and triumphs of a young woman in western North Carolina at the turn of the 20th century. The Appalachian Writers Association has nominated it for the Appalachian Book of the Year Award.
“Salt” will be available for sale and Zuber will be on hand for signing at the reception following the event.
Zuber is also the author of the poetry collections “Oriflamb” and “Winter’s Exile: Poems for my Father.”
