Jazz Ensemble to perform

The Wake Forest University Jazz Ensemble will present a concert Nov. 21 at 8 p.m. in Brendle Recital Hall of the Scales Fine Arts Center at Wake Forest.

The ensemble will perform 10 selections with one intermission. Compositions will include Jeff Jarvis’ “May’s Way,” “Bradley’s Time” and “Critical Mass” and Lennie Niehaus’ “No Looking Back” and “Betwixt and Between.”

Wake Forest adjunct music professor Patrick Tucker will direct the ensemble.

Tucker has performed as a French hornist and flugelhornist throughout the United States, Canada and Europe with musicians such as Aretha Franklin, Ernie Watts, Ray Charles, the New York Gilbert and Sullivan Players, Jeff Holmes Big Band and the New Sigmund Romberg Orchestra.
