WFU students present one-act plays

Wake Forest University senior theatre students Cary Donaldson and Susan Martin will direct two one-act plays Feb. 3 at 7:30 p.m. and Feb. 4 at 4:30 p.m. in the Ring Theatre of the Scales Fine Arts Center. Tickets will be sold at the door beginning one hour prior to the performance for $2 each.

The one-acts are part of the annual Studio Series presented by student directors and featuring an all-student cast, crew and production team. Upcoming events will be held March 3 – 4 and March 24 – 25.

Donaldson will present Richard Greensburg’s “The Author’s Voice,” a contemporary black comedy about beauty and intellect. The cast will include Wake Forest juniors Everett Long and Scotty Candler as well as freshman Lauren Rico.

Martin will present David Ives’ “Foreplay, or The Art of the Fugue,” a comic look at love, life and miniature golf. The cast will include Wake Forest freshmen Zach Tysinger, Matt Gutschick and Katie Delsandro, as well as sophomores Stephanie Hill, Madeline Smith and George Graves.
