Dance concert featuring student choreography scheduled at WFU

The Wake Forest University Dance Company will present a spring dance concert April 24-26 at 7:30 p.m. and April 27 at 2 p.m. in the MainStage Theatre of the Scales Fine Arts Center. Admission is $10, $5 for students, senior citizens and children.

The concert will feature modern dance, contemporary ballet, jazz and tap dance. Music for the program will include selections by Tina Turner, Melissa Ethridge, Madonna, Bobby McFerrin, Full Metal Jacket and the Kronos Quartet.

Student choreographers include Wake Forest junior Katie Greenberg and seniors Sarah Tejan, Brooke Hannum, Erin Lichtenstein, Meg Ackley, Alice Green, Colby Waller, Joanna Smith and Tiffany Cummins.

Tickets will be available beginning April 14. Advance tickets are available by calling the Wake Forest Theater Box Office at 336-758-5295 between noon and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. The box office will be closed April 18. Tickets may also be purchased at the door on the night of the performance. For more information, call 336-758-5393.
