Summer institute offers service learning opportunities at WFU

The Summer Institute for Vocational Formation, sponsored by the Wake Forest University Pro Humanitate Center, will bring 14 high school juniors and seniors to the Wake Forest campus for two weeks of activities focused on faith and vocation beginning June 15.

The institute is free, including room, board and a small travel stipend. Applications may be obtained by contacting the Center for Congregational Health at 336-716-9722. Applications are being accepted now until all places in the institute are taken.

The focus of the institute will be a 15-hour service project with a Winston-Salem-based ministry. Participants will reflect on these experiences and discuss implications in a varitey of classroom, discussion and worship settings.
