Advisory: Media invited to annual “Stop, Drop and Go’ Sale

Members of the media are invited to the annual Wake Forest University “Stop, Drop and Go” sale from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 13. The sale will take place rain or shine near the intersection of Polo Road and Long Drive, across from First Assembly of God church.

Stop, Drop and Go, a program that collects discarded residence hall room items from students in the spring and sells them to the public in the fall, was organized two years ago by four enterprising Wake Forest students.

All money collected during the sale goes to charity, and last year students raised more than $1,000 for Samaritan Inn. This year the money is being donated to Crisis Control Ministries.

Items for sale at this year’s event include clothes, furniture, textbooks, school supplies and space-saving devices.

Student organizers of the “Stop, Drop and Go” program will be available for interviews at the sale.
