WFU senior performs recital featuring Finzi, Hardy and Shakespeare
William Daniel, Wake Forest University senior baritone and Presidential Scholar in Music, will present a recital Nov. 14 at 8 p.m. in Scales Fine Arts Center’s Brendle Recital Hall.
The recital will include a lecture and performance on selected songs by British composer Gerald Finzi and poetic texts by Thomas Hardy and William Shakespeare.
Daniel, who is a student of Richard Heard, Wake Forest associate professor of music, will be accompanied by Jean Blackwood on piano.
The concert is free and open to the public. A dessert reception will be held following the concert in the lobby. For more information, call 758-5364.
