WFU Orchestra presents concert of old and new

The Wake Forest University Orchestra will present a concert Dec. 5 at 8 p.m. in Wake Forest‘s Brendle Recital Hall at Scales Fine Arts Center.  The concert is free and open to the public.

Conducted by David Hagy, Wake Forest orchestra director, the orchestra will perform both old and new musical compositions, including a modern work written in the 1990s titled, “The Infernal Machine” by Christopher Rouse, Haydn‘s “Symphony No. 49,” Shostakovich‘s “Symphony No. 9” and Rossini‘s well-known “William Tell Overture.”
