Open forums on presidential search begin Sept. 8 on Reynolda Campus
Wake Forest University begins holding open forums Sept. 8 to discuss the university’s search for a successor to President Thomas K. Hearn Jr., who retires next summer.
The university has scheduled four forums. Three will be held on Sept. 8, 14 and 23 at 4 p.m. in Pugh Auditorium, located in the Benson University Center. Another will be held Sept. 27 in Babcock Auditorium on the university’s Bowman Gray Campus at the Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. It will take place at 4 p.m. (originally, it was scheduled for 5 p.m.).
The forums are being held “to discuss our presidential search process and the traits or characteristics and experience that our university needs in its next leader,” according to Murray C. Greason Jr., chair of the Wake Forest board of trustees and the presidential search committee.
Greason recently sent an e-mail to university faculty, staff, students, alumni and others to invite them to the forums.
