O.A.R. to perform concert at WFU
The band O.A.R. (Of A Revolution) will perform at Wake Forest University in Wait Chapel Nov. 12. Doors will open at 7 p.m. The opening performers will be Ari Hest at 7:15 p.m. and Ben Lee at 8 p.m.
Considered by many in the music industry to be one of the most successful D.I.Y. (Do It Yourself) bands in recent history, O.A.R. is following up their recent tour of sold-out concerts with what they call “intimate college dates” across the country. According to the Hollywood Reporter, O.A.R. has a “musical message of uncomplicated fun and good times that is enough to make anybody happy.”
The bands recordings include the singles “Right On Time” and the Top 40 hit “Hey Girl.” The New York Post called their most recent album, “In Between Now And Then,” one of the 10 best of 2003.
The concert is sponsored by the Student Union.
Tickets are $25 general admission and must be purchased through online ticketing at http://su.wfu.edu/ or at www.oartickets.musictoday.com.
A limited number of tickets for Wake Forest students are available at the Benson University Center Ticket Office at 336-758-4265 for $20.
