Comedy hypnotist offers family fun at WFU

Renowned comedy hypnotist Tom DeLuca will perform during Family Weekend at Wake Forest University at 8 p.m. Oct. 29 in Wait Chapel. Tickets will be available at the door for $10. The box office at the chapel will open at 6 p.m., and the doors will open at 7 p.m.

By using audience volunteers to fuel the show, DeLuca says the performance shows how innovative people can be when they are relaxed and free of pressure. The show is appropriate for all ages.

DeLuca, who earned a master’s degree in psychology from the University of Illinois, began performing on stage before local civic groups while working as a therapist. He has been featured in People and Rolling Stone magazines, The Wall Street Journal and on both “Good Morning America” and “Dateline NBC.”

Today, DeLuca is considered one of the most outstanding college acts in America by college students and has been named a National Association for Campus Activities (NACA) “Variety Entertainer of the Year.”

The event is sponsored by the Wake Forest Student Union.
