WFU Theatre to perform ‘Catch-22’
Wake Forest University Theatre will present “Catch-22” by Joseph Heller at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 29-30 and again Nov. 3-6. A matinee performance will be held at 2 p.m. Nov. 7. All performances will be held at the MainStage Theatre in Scales Fine Arts Center.
“Catch-22,” written by Joseph Heller, is a stage adaptation of his best-selling 1960s novel by the same name. It is a fast-paced satire that focuses on the horrors and insanity of war.
The play will be directed by Sharon Andrews, associate professor of theatre at Wake Forest. The cast includes Wake Forest students Scotty Candler, Michael Casby, Kim Dedo, Alex Ewen, Nick Ewen, Tom Griffin, Laura Halsey, Adam Humenansky, Erich Jones, Mike Kelly, Katharine McEnery, Jimmy McKell, Leah Roop-Kharasch, Taylor Robertson, Jonathan Watkins and Zach Tysinger.
Tickets cost $12 for adults; $5 for students and may be purchased at the Theatre Box Office in the theatre lobby of Scales Fine Arts Center or by calling 336-758-5295 weekdays noon-5 p.m.
