WFU’s Graylyn Conference Center wins industry award

Graylyn International Conference Center of Wake Forest University has been awarded the 2005 Gold Key Award by Meetings & Conventions magazine.

The award is voted on by readers of the magazine, who make selections based on the overall professionalism and quality of the property.

“We are pleased to receive this recognition again,” said John Wise, general manager of Graylyn.” It validates the efforts and commitment of the staff at Graylyn as we strive to be known as a leader in the meeting and conference industry.”

Graylyn opened in 1984 and is a member of the International Association of Conference Centers. This marks the sixth consecutive year Graylyn has won the Gold Key Award.

Previous awards Graylyn received include the 2004 Pinnacle Award from Successful Meetings magazine; the 2004 Planner’s Choice Award for Excellence in Meeting Services and Facilities from Meeting News magazine; and the 2004 Employer of the Year Award from the Mayor’s Council for Persons with Disabilities in Winston-Salem.
