Media Advisory: WFU historian featured on ‘Who Do You Think You Are?’ program on TLC

John Ruddiman, assistant professor of history at Wake Forest University, will appear in the April 19 episode of the TLC program “Who Do you Think You Are?”

The show gives celebrities a chance to dig into their roots and learn more about their family history. According to TLC, in this episode, actor Bill Paxton “reads captivating first-hand accounts of wartime battles in which his four times great grandfather was involved, and walks in his footsteps at the site where he fought a battle in the American Revolution.”

Ruddiman, an expert on American revolutionary war history and author of the book “Becoming Men of Some Consequence: Youth and Military Service in the Revolutionary War” analyzed historical documents and provided on-air commentary.

‘Who Do You Think You Are?’ airs Sunday at 10 p.m. on TLC.
