Wake Forest University is holding its annual Lovefeast Celebration in Wait Chapel on Sunday, Dec. 5.
To prioritize the health of the Wake Forest campus, this year’s Lovefeast is open to students, staff, faculty and invited guests only. Those planning to attend in person must wear masks.
The event will be livestreamed at lovefeast.wfu.edu. Lovefeast begins at 7:30 p.m. Media are welcome to use clips from the livestream for broadcast.
This year, one highlight of the Lovefeast service will be a dual performance by the Winston-Salem State Singing Rams and the Wake Forest University Gospel Choir. The program will also feature handbell music, instrumental pieces and favorite choral selections from the Wake Forest choirs.
Since it was first celebrated by students in 1965, the annual Wake Forest Lovefeast has become a cherished campus tradition.
Funds collected at Lovefeast in donation baskets go toward the Chaplain’s Emergency Fund, which assists students, staff and faculty who are experiencing personal financial hardship.
