Museum Discounts Unusual Holiday Gifts

Wake Forest University’s Museum of Anthropology will hold its annual holiday sale at its shop Dec. 2-Dec. 24.

Handcrafted jewelry, toys, masks, dolls and other unusual holiday gifts from places such as Indonesia, China, India, Africa and the American Southwest will be sold at a 10 percent discount.

The museum offers stocking stuffers and tree ornaments from several cultures. Also on sale will be lapiz jewelry from Afghanistan, Southwestern jewelry and ceramics, African baskets, handcrafted beadwork by a local artist and international cookbooks.

The discount will be offered on purchases totalling $5 or more. Gift certificates are available.

The museum is located adjacent to the tennis courts behind Wake Forest’s Campus Stadium. Shop hours are Monday-Saturday, 10 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
