Wake Forest University has created a Web site to provide the most up-to-date information about the school’s 1997-98 Year of Religion in American Life.
The site provides answers to frequently asked questions about the year, a calendar of events with links to news releases, photographs, biographies and other information about the speakers and events, and the latest entry of the Book of Days – daily writings on matters of faith by Wake Forest faculty, staff and students. Through the site, browsers can also connect to the Religion News Service and other religion news organizations, the award-winning faith sections of several national newspapers and the religion pages of North Carolina newspapers.
Web surfers can also access the site by logging into the main Wake Forest home page clicking on “What’s New” and then “Year of Religion.”
The Year of Religion Web site was created by the News Bureau and the University Editor’s Office in Wake Forest’s Office of University Advancement. Wake Forest’s yearlong focus on religion will feature lectures by Rabbi Harold Kushner, Bill Moyers, Tony Campolo and other prominent voices in American religious life, monthly visits by scholars from several different faiths to teach classes and lead discussions, a film series, a national conference on religion and higher education and a symposium on religion and the media.
