David Bellugi, a recorder virtuoso from Florence, Italy, will perform March 18 at 8 p.m. in Brendle Recital Hall of Wake Forest University’s Scales Fine Arts Center. The concert is free and open to the public.
Bellugi has performed in recitals and concerts and lectured extensively abroad and in the United States.
After receiving his bachelor of arts degree in musicology from the University of California at San Diego, Bellugi began teaching recorder at the Luigi Cherubini Conservatory in Florence. He is also part owner of the Florence-based record company, Frame.
Peter Kairoff, Wake Forest professor of music, will accompany Bellugi on the harpsichord.
