WFU announces January lecture schedule

Jan. 19, “The Path to Leadership” with David N. Farr, Worrell Professional Center, Room 1312, 2 p.m.

Jan. 19, “Average is Just Not Good Enough. PERIOD!” with Ken Carter, Benson University Center, Room 401, 8 p.m.
Ken Carter is the former high school basketball coach of Richmond High School in Richmond, Calif. He will speak on integrity, accountability and leadership and maximizing personal potential to make positive changes in the community. A book signing will follow. Jan. 26, “You’re Hired” with Bill Rancic, Benson University Center, 8 p.m.
Winner of NBC’s “The Apprentice,” Bill Rancic will speak on his new book, his business and his time on the show. Rancic’s book will be for sale in the College Bookstore before and after the lecture. Jan. 27, “Who’s in, Who’s out?: Anthologizing Modern and Contemporary Poetry” with Jahan Ramazani, DeTamble Auditorium, Tribble Hall, 7 p.m.
Jahan Ramazani is the William R. Kenan Jr. Professor of English at the University of Virginia and the editor of the third edition of “The Norton Anthology of Modern and Contemporary Poetry.” The lecture is sponsored by the English department.
