Wake Forest University President Susan R. Wente has appointed Jacqueline Travisano, Ed.D., MBA, CPA, as executive vice president and chief financial officer. Identified in a highly competitive national search, Travisano will begin her new role at Wake Forest in July.

Wake Forest University has named Jackie Krasas, Ph.D., as the new Dean of the College and Graduate School of Arts & Sciences, effective July 1. A highly-regarded sociology and women’s, gender and sexuality studies scholar, Krasas comes to Wake Forest from Lehigh University, where she currently serves as deputy provost for faculty affairs.

The Lilly Endowment Inc. has awarded Wake Forest a $30.7 million grant to support the University’s Program for Leadership and Character and create a national higher education network devoted to educating character.
The Mellon Foundation has awarded a $1 million grant to Wake Forest University to create a model program for engaging scholars and the local community in advancing environmental justice.
