Wake Forest University is planning to hold 2021 Commencement ceremonies in person this May. Public health conditions and guidance are shifting rapidly, and we are refining plans to celebrate our graduates and protect the health of our community.

Thirteen Forsyth County students came together as strangers with two things in common this summer: an aptitude for science and teachers who could see their potential. Through the Lab Experiences: Academics and Professions (LEAP) program, each had the chance to conduct lab-based research, guided by Wake Forest faculty and graduate student mentors. 

In response to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s (ICE) guidelines released this week, Wake Forest University has joined an amicus brief, prepared by the Presidents' Alliance on Immigration and Higher Education, backing a lawsuit filed by Harvard University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology against federal restrictions that threaten the education and wellbeing of international students. 

In a message sent to the Wake Forest campus community today, President Nathan Hatch announced the major elements of the University’s plans to reopen for Fall 2020.
