A new car-sharing program, Zipcar, is now available for students and others to decrease the need for privately-owned cars on campus.

With the political temperature rising again as we move towards crucial mid-term elections, a new book by political science professor David Coates aims to raise the quality of public debate on key issues, and to help progressive candidates avoid the fate of Martha Coakley in Massachusetts.

Author Gustave Flaubert became known for flinging open the shutters and reading his prose aloud to busy streets, desperate to hear his words to get a glimpse of what they sound like on the page. Boisterously reading sections of his latest book, Flaubert anxiously sought clarity and precision in his writing, welcoming criticism and the search for "le mot juste," or the perfect word. He wanted his thoughts and words to share one meaning.

A team of four undergraduate business students won the national KPMG Global Case Competition in Atlanta on Jan. 22 and will represent the U.S. at the international competition in Athens, Greece, in April.

Ishmael Smith scored 21 points, and Wake Forest jumped on Virginia early, taking a 19-point halftime lead before holding on for a 69-57 victory over the first-place Cavaliers at Joel Coliseum Saturday.
