Bill Haas (’04) is back at Augusta National for the Masters golf tournament this week, but this time he’ll be playing in the tournament for the first time, not just watching his father and uncles.

Smith hits game-winning shot at buzzer

Senior Ish Smith hit a jump shot with one second left, as Wake Forest came back from eight points down in overtime to defeat Texas, 81-80, in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. The Deacons advance to face top-seeded Kentucky on Saturday at 8:15 p.m.

The women’s basketball team survived a last-second shot by Miami to win their opening round game in the ACC Tournament, 66-65, in overtime on Thursday. The Deacons advance to play Georgia Tech on Friday.
