Women’s basketball team upsets Miami

The women’s basketball team upset No. 25 Miami, 67-64, on Sunday, the Deacons first win over a ranked opponent since 2007. In Durham, No. 8 Duke went on a run in the second half to break open a tight game to defeat the men’s basketball team, 90-70.

Four Deacons were selected in the first round of the Major League Soccer SuperDraft on Thursday — Ike Opara, Zack Schilawski, Corben Bone and Austin da Luz — the first time that one school has had four players taken in the first round.
