Worrell Bloomberg BusinessWeek released a new ranking, "The Best US MBA Programs by Specialty," which is based on surveys of corporate recruiters. Wake Forest's full-time MBA program ranked among the Top 25 in the nation in 10 of 11 specialty areas.

Melissa Rogers Melissa Rogers, who serves on President Barack Obama's national advisory council for Faith Based and Neighborhood Partnerships, explores collaborations between government entities and non-profits. Rogers is the director of the Center for Religion and Public Affairs at the School of Divinity.

Researchers awarded DOD grant

School of Medicine Orthopaedic researchers at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center have been awarded a $2.24 million four-year grant from the U. S. Department of Defense (DOD) to study the use of keratin gel in the regeneration of damaged peripheral nerves, those in the hands, arms and feet.

Angelou to receive Medal of Freedom

Maya Angelou Poet Maya Angelou, Reynolds Professor of American Studies, is among the 2010 winners of the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the nation’s highest civilian honor. She'll receive the award from President Obama early next year.

Business graduates finding jobs

Business graduates Bloomberg BusinessWeek ranks the Schools of Business at No. 12 nationally in the percentage of MBA graduates who found jobs within three months of graduation. Overall, the MBA program ranked No. 48 in the nation.
