Students fight hunger for children
Students at the School of Business turned an assignment about food insecurity and hunger in Forsyth County into a competition that raised $20,000 to feed school children over the holiday break. Law professor testifies before Congress
Law professor Tanya Marsh recently testified before the U.S. House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform regarding the impact of Dodd-Frank. Her testimony was based on a report she co-authored with Joseph Norman (’12), her former student who is now an attorney in Charlotte, N.C.

Focus on wrongful executions
One year after the execution of Troy Davis, whom many believe was innocent of shooting a police officer, several Wake Forest groups will discuss whether wrongful executions occur. Law group wins national award
The American Bar Association Law Student Division has announced that the School of Law’s Veteran Advocacy Law Organization is the recipient of the Judy M. Weightman Memorial Public Interest Award. The award recognizes those who have made outstanding contributions to underrepresented groups or public interest causes outside the law school.
Ginsburg speaks to law study abroad
U.S. Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg will be a guest lecturer during the School of Law’s Venice and Vienna Study Abroad Programs in the summer of 2012. “We are thrilled that Justice Ginsburg has so graciously agreed to once again share her expertise with our students in our study abroad programs,” said Dean Blake D. The Wake Forest School of Law plans to offer a one-year Master of Studies in Law (MSL) program beginning in the Fall 2012 semester.
