Flute Concert to Feature Work by Local Composer

Wake Forest University’s Flute Fest ’96 will feature Wake Forest flute students and Winston-Salem’s Silver Wind Flute Choir in a concert Monday, Nov. 11, at 8 p.m. in Brendle Recital Hall.

The two groups will premiere a new three-movement work entitled “Silver Winds” by Doug Borwick, associate professor of arts management at Salem College.

Compositions by Bodin, de Boismortier, Avey and Isaacson will be on the program.
