Expert on Racial Issues to Lecture at WFU

Sociologist Joe Feagin, an expert on racial issues, will lecture at Wake Forest University on Thursday, Jan. 22.

Feagin, a sociology professor with the University of Florida, will present “The Coming White Minority in an Era of Racism” at 4:30 p.m. in the Annenberg Forum, first floor of Wake Forest’s Carswell Hall.

The lecture is free and open to the public. Refreshments will immediately follow.

Feagin’s publications include “Black Women and Everyday Racism,” “The New Urban Paradigm,” and “Living with Racism: The Black Middle-Class Perspective.”

Feagin’s visit is part of the 1997-98 lecture series by Wake Forest’s American Ethnic Studies Program.
