Students to Play Musical Farewell in WFU Recital
Six piano students of Wake Forest University professor Pamela Howland will present a recital at 3 p.m. Saturday, April 4, at Wake Forest University’s Brendle Recital Hall.
The students, five of whom are graduating seniors, will perform pieces for four-hands as well as solo repertoire.
Howland, who has taught at Wake Forest since 1988, has performed extensively as a soloist and chamber musician in North and South America. A featured soloist on live public radio broadcasts in Minnesota, New York and North Carolina, she has also been a regular guest performer at the Chautauqua Institution’s Summer Music Festival. Her first CD, “Piano Music of Robert Schumann,” was released in 1996.
The recital, followed by a reception, is free and open to the public. For information, call (336) 758-5026.
