Bernard S. Silberman, professor of political science at the University of Chicago, will present a talk on modernization in Japan at Wake Forest University on Monday, April 13.
Silberman, a leading authority on Japanese political science and history, will speak at 5:30 p.m. in Scales Fines Arts Center, Room 102. His remarks are titled, “Modernism, Modernity, and Modernization in Japan: Once Again the Problem of Fascism.”
Silberman’s appearance is sponsored by the Wake Forest history department’s Clonts Fund and the Northeast Asia Council of the Association for Asian Studies.
